Historic garden art, sustainably tended
Unterhammer features extensive historic garden grounds – with kitchen and pleasure gardens, paths, stairs, stone benches, reliefs and viewpoints. Over the years, we have uncovered these areas and gradually brought them back to their original use.
Request garden tourWe tend the gardens sustainably and organically. With herbs, flowers and mixed planting, we support beneficial insects and strengthen biodiversity. From early spring to late autumn, the Karlstal is in bloom and humming.
We have uncovered and preserved dry-stone walls, paths, stairs, bed borders and water channels, restoring them with care.
We enjoy our harvest ourselves first – and gladly share the rest.
Fresh, by season: herbs, salads, vegetables, fruit
Processed: herb salt, pickles, jams, chutneys and more
When available, our produce goes straight into the kitchen at Café Unterhammer.
